I expect you're tucked up by now Lena and Harry! Thought I'd better mention the spelling of Johnny Mathis, before Robert, or Marian does!!

No, not tucked up yet Marian, but i have to confess i took my turn and dozed while Harry was making come CDs.
Missed the Joseph elimination though.
Thanks for warning me about my mis-spelling of Johnny. I'm just trying to keep Robert on his toes, well that's my excuse.
There's one thing. I've never got Matt Monro wrong.
And now having said that I'll have to make sure I don't

Well, we have already heard this show before on GMMY Robert.
The host of the web-site is indisposed for a couple of days, so this show was repeated again plus a few others until he comes back.

...and just how old are you Robert?????

Johndeep was voted off on "Joseph". Andrew said the bottom two shouldn't have been, if you get my meaning. The one he saved was Chris.

Going back to the top 40 list of the above mentioned radio station, a bit of a surprise is that Canadian born Michael Buble is NOT on the list. Frank Sinatra is #1, which is fair enough, but he's NOT my #1   Dean Martin is at #3, which is rather surprising also. But a bigger surprise is that Engelbert Humperdinck is in the top 40 (mid thirties). So he and the others had a better voice than Matt.......................................... I don't think so :!: :!: :!: :!:

Definately not Robert! I remember Englebert when he was just plain old Gerry Dorsey..a name change made him much more successful, but didn't change his singing ability!

Hi All

Elaine Paige played From Russia With Love this afternoon in her Movies & Musicals show, which was nice to hear.
Can I stick up just a bit for Eng, I agree his voice is not the best, but I do do like his songs!
He was on Dane Edna's TV show last week, sang Quando Quando Quando.

Sorry, my entry probably came across a bit strong, did not mean to say he couldn't sing, just that he is no way as good as Matt.

Yes Gray, I agree with Marian. I wasn't saying "Eng" was not a good singer, as I like some of his recordings, but definitely NOT in the same class as our Matt

Englebert has made many beautiful recordings and this January marked the 40th Anniversary of his first hit "Release Me." and still performing and singing great.
