Another uptempo Matt classic which Hoagy Carmichael described as the best recording of this song he had ever heard :D

It's interesting to see everyone's list. Frankly, I'm surprised that I seem to be the only person that listed these marvelous Matt Monro recordings.

And the very underrated This Time

What gives, Matt Monro fans?! Am I the only person that loves them? I think they are far superior to My Way, Didn't We, Sarah's Coming Home, When You Become a Man, and certainly Wednesday's Child. Till the End of Time is in a completely different league; it is definition of the much overused word AMAZING. I guess we have different tastes. Perhaps you did list some of these great records, but I went through your lists twice and didn't see them.

Hi Paul.I can't believe that I missed the very wonderful IF SHE/HE WALKED INTO MY LIFE from MAME.

We were only playing it in the car yesterday :D

So many beautiful versions-many female-Eydie Gorme,Angela Lansbury,Leslie Uggams and Shirley Bassey
for instance.

Our VERY favourite is Matts,although Scott Walkers is pretty good.Lots of instrumentals too including a wonderful trombone version by Chris Dean and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra :D :D

I agree with you Paul, nearly all the songs you listed are far superior to the ones at the bottom of your list :)

But Matt recorded so many fantastic songs it is hard to remember them all off the top of my head, but I will list a few of those you mentioned :D

Hi Paul

Till The End of Time and The Green Leaves of Summer are among my favourite Matt songs even if I didn't list them in my post (as Robert says, we can't remember all of them as there are so many). Can't agree with you about Wednesday's Child, though: this has always been one of my fave Matt recordings, possibly in my Top 5. Strange how we differ. I remember telling Mariana that Johnny Mathis's version of Didn't We (very different from Matt's incidentally) was one of my tip top JM tracks, but she said it wouldn't even be in her top 100!
