I am not sure if that was ever out out as sheet music---it is not one of the best known of Matt's songs---maybe Richard will know, as he is the Matt Monro expert-after Michele of course.
Does this mean you play an instrument Syd--a piano maybe?

I think if there had been one around, either John or Marian would have known about it , Syd.

Thank you all for your replies,I dowloaded the backing track for Rain Sometimes from Ameritz, but as a singer I like to have the "dots" to refer too as it is difficult to get the notation perfect.

By the way if you look on you tube there is the sound recording of Matt singing it,it's a beautiful song.

I can understand why you'd want to see the sheet music as the melody is not obvious and it's so nice to know the real notes.
Speaking of sheet music, does anyone have the sheet music of Portrait of my Love with the chords in Matt Monro's version? The "original" sheet music was included in the lyrics book that we got at Fans Reunited II, but many of the chords don't match Matt's. I much prefer the MM arrangement. It's kind of fascinating that they were changed for MM's recording. Most songs don't go through such radical revisions.

You'll probably find that the chords on Matts version are as written and the Sheet Music is simplified - I've always hated it when sheet music is NOT the same arrangement as 'advertised' by the cover.

All hail the power of the internet,I have now sourced the sheet music of Rain Sometimes from Los Angeles from a pro singer called Effie Joy who covered the song some years ago,I found out that the song was written by Arthur Hamilton who also wrote Cry Me A River.
