I am new to this website but not new to the music of Matt Monro. I grew up listening to an LP my folks had of him and became hooked on his music. The LP was entitled "These Years." I have since then purchased other CD's and continue to listen to them over and over. I look forward to expanding my collection of his wonderful music.

I was wondering if anyone has ever created any karoke CD's featuring any of Matt's music? As much as I love to sing them with Matt's voice, I would love to have the music and be able to sing his songs karoke style. I would be very interested in purchasing these if they are available or would like to suggest that this be explored.

Thanks you from Texas!

Hi Gary

IMP (International Music Publications Ltd) in London has a wonderful music book with a cd. Ten Matt Monro classics
for the aspiring singer. The orchestra in the cd even sounds almost like the real accompaniment Matt sang to. I use this cd often to sing or I will just play the songs on my piano and accompany myself. This IMP product is recommended over a karaoke dvd/vcd which says "in the style of Matt Monro" but sounds really tacky. Avoid that one.
Be warned however that the IMP book/cd does not offer a visual display
on your tv as in a regular karaoke product. You actually have to be able to read the music scores to sing correctly.

I remember reading recently that Matt is the most-"performed" karaoke star in the Philippines.

There are many karaoke CDs of his hits if you search the Web.
