Song with Italian in it?

I've been asked to identify a song by Matt, in which there was either a passage of spoken Italian in the middle, or some of the lyrics were sung in Italian. I'm afraid I don't have a clue, and wondered if anyone could help me.

Hello Wendy
probably the most famous bit of Italian Matt sang was the opening and closing lines "Questi giorni quando vieni il belle sole" (hope my spellings up to scratch) which comes from the love theme to the original Michael Caine movie of "The Italian Job", the song is called On Days Like These and is available on many of Matt's compilation CDs.
