Did Dudley Moore ever play piano for Matt?

Did Dudley Moore ever play piano for Matt?

I"m not sure where I heard this...but an urban legend states that Dudley played piano for Matt Monro on some of his engagements. Is this true? Did Dudley ever play for Matt?

As far as I know Matt and Dudley never even met but it certainly is a great thought. I went to see Moore at concert at the Royal Albert Hall, it was the last time he came to England - he really was the most fantastic player. My favorite album is "Songs without Words" where all the compositions are written by Moore as well as played.

If you get the chance give it a listen

Both Matt and Dudley Moore worked with George Martin and so may possibly have provoked the connection. :) :)
