Hi Yari

A new series of Heartbeat started on Sunday July 27th I think. It seems like the 20th season - I think many of us are surprised it has lasted so long, but I think a lot of people in the UK look back at the 'better times' of the 60s (ie we won the world cup! And Eurovision a few times, and the Beatles ruled the world!) It is broadcast by ITV, and if you check out their website http://www.itv.com then you should be able to download the current weeks episode.

I tried that downloading system but it said that can't be done abroad... a domestic service only.. :(

U r right, the show must have lasted for so long because people do like the good ole 60s as many people like good ole 70s.. I remember me listening to 208 Radio Luxembourg, with british Djs. I was a member in club 208 also, aswellas ( don't fall off the chair..) a member in MUD fan club. Luxy was played in our home since 1971.

Got to do some work now
Take care there

Hei Yari

My brother used to listen to Luxembourg a lot on his transistor radio in the early 70s. he bought me my 1st 45rpm record, which was 'Cum on feel tha noize' by Slade - a great 70s band. Noddy Holder now guest presents on a BBC Radio 2 evening show during the week and is a fantastic presenter to listen to, full of many great stories from his long time on the road.

One of my Mum's favourite songs is 'Tiger Feet' by Mud though!

All a long way from 'Heartbeat', and indeed Matt! But great to talk about

Moi!

I used to listen to Radio Luxembourg in the fifties, under the bedclothes at night, when obviously I wasn't allowed to.
The Top Twenty was on from 11p.m until midnight, sponsored by Stayblonde and Brunitex I remember. Wonderful memories. :D :D

I was just like you Marian, and listened to Radio Luxembourg at night, under the bedclothes so that my dad would not hear--It all seems very innocent, when you see what the kids get up to these days, and all the gadgets they have--but I loved Radio Luxembourg-it was almost the only chance of listening to popular music.
