great to see this black and white clip from the Jimmy Tarbuck show in 1971. We're Gonna Change The World. Matt enjoying singing it and the audience full of appreciation after hearing it.

Always like Matt singing that but 1971 shouldn't it have been in colour? Anyway must check it out on You tube.
Just watched it Sandra and I see there are several performances of that song and in colour, good to hear Matt sing it that bit differently from the record which should have topped the charts!

It was made in colour, but only survives as a B&W film print - Lucky that it survives at all.

Sublime, Awesome ……Matt showing off his great personality and magical voice on one of his first guest tv appearances (only had his first hit “Portrait” a few months earlier) on the Russ Conway show in January 1961…….👍😀

Yes Sandra, Matt wasn’t the finished item here still nervous looking……and singing in his late 50’s/early 60’s style …… I’m not sure of the organ accompaniment instead of strings 😀

Yes Robert and Sandra, we agree with your comments and as usual without any effort at all.

This is a great Channel that Michele and Richard have done and hope there are a few more to come and unfortunately don't think they will be able to get permission from Tony Bennet and Tom Jones to show Matt on these shows.

We've tried to get the Tom Jones, but his organisation are now using a licensing company which is making things much more difficult. It depends if Aviator can strike a deal with them. Not sure if Avaitor have got as far as contacting Fremantle yet (owner of Thames material like the Bennett) But we live in hope.

The owners of the three Ed Sullivan clips have told us they are going to put these up on their channel at some point - but nothing as yet. It was about a year ago we asked them about them!
