Is the version of One Voice on the Ultimate Matt Monro CD the same as the one on the new CD Live In Australia? Is the sound quality almost the same?

No, It's a different performance. The Australian version is not of the same quality as the performance on Ultimate, it's better!
The version on Ultimate is from another cassette in the estate collection. I'm not sure when or where it was recorded i'm afraid. The estate has a number of concert fragments (most of which are not good enough quality to release) and many of these are not dated.

Thank you Richard for the info. The sound quality of One Voice on The Ultimate Matt Monro was not so good so I have not purchased Live In Australia.

I'm not one to blow my own trumpet, but I sweated blood over this one!
Rest assured if it has my name on it Terrence it will be the best quality that can possibly be obtained from the source.
One Voice on Ultimate was from before I began working with the estate and was just a standard transfer from cassette with very little restoration.
Listen (if you have both versions) to the improvements between the original Nelson Riddle fan club issue of “Matt Sings, Nelson Swings†and my remaster on EMI to see what can be done given enough time and the right ears.

Couldn't agree more, the sound quality on "Live In Australia" is superb Terence, and this is definitely special and one that you wouldn't want to miss out on for your collection.

Could hardly believe it when I saw someone selling copies of "Live in Australia" on ebay. They have 100 copies on offer.
I believe it is the same company who were selling the Cyril Stapleton CDs last year.

That seems very cheap, it should be more than that realistically.

That was why I didn't add the price in my original posting. I thought it was way too low, when you consider all the hard work that went into the finished CD, especially by Richard.
