Hi Everybody,
I recently purchased a digital radio for my birthday & searched the stations & came across a station called ourkindofmusic which plays swing/bigband/jazz etc, I was listening the other day & heard a song by Matt that I had never heard, I was so engrossed in the song that I never lookd at the digital display to find the name of the song, There was no mistake about the voice though, It was crystal clear,.....If you can't get the station on digital I know it is on line aswell www.ourkindofmusic.net
Hopefully they will play it again & then I could put us all out of our misery,
All the best everybody,
Regards Tony.

Hi Tony and welcome to the Forum.
I am pretty sure I have not seen that station on my digital radio--but I know that each area is different--my sister in London gets at least twice as many programmes as I do--and she is amazed that I cannot get LBC--a London programme--even though I am only about 40 miles from London. I do not remember seeing it on Sky radio either.
I shall certainly look out for the website--it is surprisng the number of songs that Matt recorded, that many people do not realise.

Hi Marianne,
Thanks for the reply,
Yes if you get time take a listen online it's well worth it, there are a few songs thry play which are not my cup of tea but I would say that 90% is great,
I did email them & informed them of our forum etc but there does seem to be a problem when you fill in their sheet, I am not sure whether it sent or not,
It does ask who you would like to hear more of etc on it & naturally I put Matt Monro, As regards the station itself I think it's one that people on this site would love,
Speak soon,
Regards,
Tony.

SorryMarianna,
On my initial post you will see a link to the site just click on it & then you will see a pulsating speaker on the top right corner,
Click on that & you are listening live,
P.s. I do apologise for spelling your name wrong,
Regards,
Tony.

Hi Everyone,
Lena & Harry seem to have struck gold hearing Matt almost Immediately,
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do,
Although I am ashamed to say That song may be the one I heard & if it is a well known one that makes me a pretty poor fan as I don't know it,
But it's great learning though,
Enjoy,
Regards Tony.

Hi Tony--yes the reason that ths Forum works so well, as that we all have a common interest in the same kind of music.
I managed to find the station from your link , and had a listen to it-I am sure that I am going to enjoy it. The first song I heard was Frank Sinatra singing ---oh, I'm not sure what it's called---
"When I'm not near the girl I love, I love the girl I'm near", which I usually associate with Jack Jones.
So that was interesting--I love hearing the same song, sung by different singers.

That Sinatra song is " All I Need Is The Girl " Marian,
and what's good is, we have found that this station does play the classic songs recorded by other artists as well as the one famously known for that particular song.
Just wondering Marian ...Are you having that problem submitting your posts again ??. We are, and it's driving us nuts.
