terry parsons ...and....peter sellers

did any one listen to russel davies on radio 2 today? he played a totaly brilliant song by our matt ..matt went by his real name but peter sellers introduced it as something flange???????a type of sinatra song written by george martin...where can i get this ??????????????long live matt ..forever in our ears.....god bless

Hi Gary, Yes we heard the Russell Davies prog.
E.M.I. Producer George Martin asked Matt to make a demonstration disc for Peter Sellers who wanted to copy the Sinatra voice and style to make an album.
It was such a good guide and Peter Sellars couldn't improve on it himself so Matt's voice was included under the name of Fred Flange.
The album was called "Songs for Swinging Sellars." :)

The 'Fred Flange' track, You Keep Me Swingin', is currently available on the excellent Matt Monro 4-CD boxed set, The Singer's Singer, released on the EMI label on 05 November 2001.

thanks lena ,harry and lee .. i love that song..i watched the story of matt on bbc 4..the other night and it popped up on there.......he died too young he could teach some of these so called stars today how to sing, god bless you matt............
