Says its a 2cd collection released on the Performance label?

Does anyone out there know anymore about it....

If it is not one that Michele has already mentioned on the site, it is possible that it is not an "official" release.

This is an official release in a way.

This is material that the estate licenced to One Media and they have the rights to do as they wish with it. However they don't always let the esatate know what they are releasing

This includes some previously released material from the Australian TV concert and the 1983 Manila concert.

However it also includes some previously unreleased material from 1961 with Johnnie Spence and some more material I was able to rescue from the 1983 Manila concert due to the discovery of another copy of the tape!

I have just preordered -at 6.79 plus free pp,from Amazon, sounds a good deal for a double cd from Matt-especially after Richard's comments.

Has no one received their copy yet.
I was waiting to hear your comments.
It obviously hasn't got the perfection of the EMI releases but I LOVE IT.
The fact that it is 'live'.The fact that a lot of it is only accompanied by a piano. The arrangements are basic but their is something about this CD that tugs at your heartstrings.
Well it tugs at mine anyway :D

Whilst I haven't heard the release itself, I remastered the Johnnie Spence and Manila tracks so I know what it sounds like. My main complaint about the set is the fact that they have mixed up the chronology. It would make far more sense to put the Johnnie Spence tracks (from 1961) first and follow it with the Australia concert and finish it with Manila 83. Whilst the Johnnie Spence tracks were mastered to go individually I supplied two versions of the Manila tracks, one as separate tracks the other they flow together. If they have used the later version, why did they cut it in half and split it over discs.

This is the problem when things are released as a "sub licence" you don't have any control over the finished product.

I might Just add that the Manila is an aproximation of the original concert. The tape used for the "Yesterday" Night Owl release contained a few more tracks than we released but they ether duplicated the Manila 66 concert or had tehnical probelms that I couldn't solve. However Michele mentioned she had another tape that had some material from Manila that she had just uncovered. It turned out that this was the same concert and would allow me to rescue a bit more. The version I supplied as a whole put the tracks into an aproximation of a play list. I can't say that this is definitely the order the songs were performed in as both tapes had bits and pieces of the concert and most inbetween chat cut. There were also a couple of songs that could not be rescued due to being incomplete and one song that had such bad 'Print through' that it was impossible to clean it up (at present - hopefully technology will allow rescue in the future)

For those who have it - Are there any notes in booklet?

I suppose I ought to buy one to see what has been done!
