Letter from Phil Farlow:
Asked a friend about the Rex CD non Matt things - he didn't come back so I delved into my Gramophone catalogues & turned up as follows..............
English Columbia EP no. SEG 7622. (Also on English Columbia 78 DB 3687 & 3688)
Both issued circa 1955-6. Details as follows :-
"Romance in Candlelight"
including..........
Live a little, love a little - Sally Ann Howes, Jacques Pils & chorous. (Also on 78 DB 3687)
Romance in Candlelight - Patricia Burke, Roger Dann & chorous ( " " " " )
My heart says yes - Sally Ann Howes & chorous (Also on 78 DB 3688)
Oh-la-la, boom-boom-boom - Jacques Pils ( " " " " )
These must be the tracks on the Rex CD of Cyril Stapleton !
I remember that somebody said to me that 'Romance in Candlelight' was a little known and probably short lived London show of the time.
I'm really pleased to have cracked this one as I've been going to ammend my Stapleton CD for a while.
Best - Phil
