Is there any way someone in the UK could tape that show and make it available to us poor cousins across the pond, here in America? I know we would gladly pay for the tape and postage!

I second the request from Papa Jan about one of Matt's fans in England taping the TV show on Matt Monro - "Man with the Golden Voice" on either DVD or VHS. I will gladly pay for any expenses on copying this show for me. (DVD would be the preferred way to copy it as it is easier to play in the USA. Thanks in advance, Henry

The documentary was a lovely&poignant tribute to Matt-lots of rare footage and biography.
Good to see Michelle,Matt's wife and his grandson talikibg so warmly about him-Matt and his music will never be out-of-date.Style endures.
I guess/hope the BBC will repeat this programme on either BBC TWO or BBC ONE soon.

Hi-I have just got round to watching this programme--it was excellent and very moving in parts---especially hearing Matts grandson talking about him, and also the last song. I would be able to do a dvd copy [uk format only] Please contact me on mbdoyle4@aol.com.

Well I finally got the tape through the post this weekend

Thanks to my Mum,

My favourite quote from a telly show ever "The James Bond Of Easy Listening"

but I have to agree seeing little Max with his mum talking about putting Grand-dads CDs to the front of the Racks in HMV was very special, I even had a little tear in my eye over that moment (yes I am now officially a big girls blouse...but don't care who knows it, the show was wonderful)

And no-one could argue with Paul Gambuccini's verdict that anyone interested in the history of 20th century vocalists has to listen to Matt.
