Look forward to meeting you, it really will be a day to remember, we all have so many wonderful memories to share of Matt, although it was nearly fifty years ago I remember so well the first time I listened to the magic that was Matt at RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk,
Does anyone know if Matt Jnr. might be there ....

We will all have to start our count down calendars to September.

I have not heard any mention of Matt Jr being there--but I am sure that if he is around he will be there---I guess he may be doing concerts.

My husband Peter remembers R.A.F. Bentwaters, he did his National Service in the R.A.F. in the Fifties. I'm sure he will be happy to reminisce, also about Matt of course!

Have just read Michele's newsletter--great to read about all the Forum members who will be there---but I was overwhelmed to see who the guests will be. i knew Virginia Mckenna was to be there---but all those other famous names --including Vince Hill !!! -he has been one of my favourite singers for so long--since the days of "Edelweiss"--and still is. Like Matt, he can sing a great song really well, and is so under-rated. I am just so excited---plus so many other great names. I must confess I am still in a daze---yes, I have met famous people in the past--but never so many at one time.

Will we get a chance to take any photos while we are there ?

Yes, great list of guests. I'm sure there will be lots of opportunities for photos, just as there was at the book launch.
I nearly missed the updates this month as forgot the date yesterday with all the holidays, Royal Wedding etc. Just happened to spot Jack's spot today and I then realised!

I agree.How exciting is that list of famous people.Do 'grown ups' still ask for autographs these days!

Thanks Sandra for asking about autographs---I would love Vince Hill's autograph--but was not sure if this will be allowed !!

Im glad to hear that so many of you are looking forward to the event and I see no reason why you cant ask for a autograph or three and certainly you must bring your cameras along. I expect lots of you to email me the pictures you take so we can create a special photo album like we did last year and that way you get to see pictures of yourselves that others took.

My brother will of course be there as long as no work comes in for that particular date.

Yes, it sounds as though it is going to be a really great day with everything that you have planned Michele. Everyone is getting very excited about it.

That is good news that Matt Jnr can make it---we had been speculating, and wondering if he would be on tour at that time.

I'm hoping that Virginia will sign my Born Free CD. It's going to be such a special day.....thanks Michele. Not forgetting our own litlle gathering, care of Paul!

I am just deciding which of my Vince Hill cds to take in for signing !!

Lots of names-I cannot remember them all, but Vince Hill, and Virginia Mckenna obviously--Robbie Williams dad, Rosemary Squires, Buddy Grecco, Paul Gambaccini, Tony Christie, Muike Winters, June Marlow, and possibly more to be added as they reply to the invitations.
