What To Wear To The Events
What To Wear To The Events
I'm getting a bit nervous about what my daughter and I will need to bring to wear to the event. Is it formal evening attire or would a cocktail dress be appropriate ? Advise would be most appreciated! Hope you are all well and enjoying summer. I've heard it's been rather cool there.
Re: What To Wear To The Events
I think the most important thing would be to wear something comfortable. I would say that formal evening attire might not be suitable--but that is just my opinion--if that is what you want to wear and feel comfortable in, then that is fine.
I am sure we will see a huge variety there.

I'm sure you are right Marian, wear something you are comfortable in Lana.
As the afternoon get-together is followed by the evening party there will be no opportunity to change, so comfort will be important, especially shoes I should think. I just hope I don't get any curry stains!

In that case stay away from the curry!
Re: What To Wear To The Events
There may not be much choice, having seen the menu-whish sounds great by the way.
It is too long since I had a Chinese or Indian meal--i know this is Thai--but it is still the same-they are all foreign.

Re: What To Wear To The Events
Thank you all for your practical advice. Comfortable it will be then. I've been working too much and too hard lately and this trip will be exactly what I need but right now it sounds about as stressful as work : ( Still nervous but excited! Who would we be rubbing elbows with on the celebrity side (besides Michele of course)? Any ideas or guesses? Sir Paul? Proper to ask I hope
Re: What To Wear To The Events
Hi Lana, The list of people attending has been in the last two newsletters by Michele, but if you missed them, let's see how many i can remember... no Sir Paul I'm afraid, but there is ..
Sir George Martin, Virginia McKenna, Gerard Kenny, Tony Christie, Shane Rimmer, Vince Hill, June Marlow, David Hamilton, Matt Jr. help...it's too early in the morning, can anyone else add some

Re: What To Wear To The Events
Get your camera ready Marian. We should be able to get some nice photos.
Re: What To Wear To The Events
I am hoping so--especially Vince ! Are you going to bring something down for him to sign for you.?
Mariana
Re: What To Wear To The Events
I suppose we could take a cd cover for him to sign Marian, that would just fit in my jacket pocket, I mean without the case. And one of Val Doonican's too.
Re: What To Wear To The Events
Yes I was wondering whether to take CD covers-they seem the 'in' thing to sign these days.
I have a really old fragile autograph book and thought I might try to buy a new one if they still exist

Re: What To Wear To The Events
I was wondering about autograph books as well Sandra. I presume they must still make them.
