What happened to "Two People" ? I know it had at least one incarnation as a single in English and several as "Los Dos" in Spanish.
The voice of Matt Monro is part of my life. I take his music with me wherever I go.

Two People was never released on a single, in fact not released at all until the Don Black album. Michele and I have researched the discography thoroughly and can find not trace of it's release before then.

The discography on this site is incorrect in saying it was released as a single in 1974 - EMI 2816 The catalogue number is actually a mixed up version of EMI 2186 which didn't feature Two People. EMI 2186 is actually Danny La Rue singing "My Old Mum"!!! from 1978

Los Dos was released in some territories but if we were to put on EVERY single released anywhere the set would be 20 discs so we put on the most famous and regularly released spanish singles (Toda Pasara and No Puedo) and a few obscure ones like My Way, Wednesday's child etc.

I hope you feel better real soon, Mickie.

The cover of the Singles Collection is perfect. I love the font used for MATT MONRO and "This record must be played at 45 RPM per minute." :) We are all looking forward to this release.

The cover is based on a circa 1960's Parlophone sleeve

I guess my retro black vinyl-look CD's have been passed-on, Richard?

To be honest I haven't seen the designs for the discs yet. I did suggest Parlophone, Capitol & EMI labels for the appropriate era of the material on the disc but I don't know what they will go with.
