Hi Robert

No, I never did buy The Singer's Singer, which I understand is now deleted. I used to see it on the shelves in HMV Oxford Street.

I believe it is to be re-released in smaller packaging Jon, but not sure when. It sometimes comes up on ebay at varying prices.
Definitely a wonderful addition to any collection, and it includes Michele's earlier 'slimmer' book.

Wow. another reason for Jon to be in the Matt Monro Hall of Shame!  Do you have anything else to share with us?! :)

I love The Singer's Singer CD collection, but only listen at home. So it's like listening to it for the first time. For example, I have no recollection of the tune for Before You Go. Perhaps I'll listen to it more on The Complete Singles Collection when I take that to the car.

We looked in HMV Stores in Manchester but unfortunately the cd was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps they have been sold and they are waiting for new stock?

Hi Monrovians,
My 'Singles Collection' arrived the other day and what a collection of gems we have here.
All accolades to the audio-wizard ,Richard and the fair Michele..!!
The nostalgic packaging and imitation LP disks were a master stroke, Michele. Yer a Whizz, girl.!!
What a joy to hear 'the youthful Monro' on some of these tracks, ('My Old Flame' , 'Love Me Do',and 'Mi Casa Su Casa' ..for example).
Mickie must have looked forward to coming home from work when Matt was a house-husband to hear him singing in the kitchen as she came through
the front door... She was the luckiest woman alive.
My MP3 player is now chock-a-block with Monro magic.
Has there ever been a more beautiful voice on this planet.???
Hell No.....

Jon, as you mentioned earlier on this thread that you don't have the 4 disc set The Singer's Singer, there is a set on ebay at the moment with another 3+ days to run. It's 'near mint' and at the moment stands at £10.49.
The number is 220571258695
Also Jon, have you checked your private messages lately?

Marian :)
