8 Days and Counting

Post by Michele Monro » Sun Jan 01, 2012 4:14 pm

Happy New Year to everyone and thank you all for your wonderful wishes.

Leaving in 8 days and having a mild panic attack at the moment. I have 4 large suitcases, hand luggage, laptop case, camera bag (large), 4 cardboard boxes with books, CD and candles and mum and dad’s ashes. Not forgetting my handbag and I still haven’t quite managed to get everything in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I obviously don’t understand the meaning of the phrase ’travelling light’
Much love to everyone for the coming year and hopefully you will be able to follow the travelogue although I bought myself a Sony Bloggie so as to make my task easier and I spent 6 hours last night trying to load the software. It still isn't up and working!
Bye for now
Michele

Sounds like you've remembered everything Michele, although didn't it start off with Three cases,  reminded me of the song, On the First day of Christmas, ...Four cardboard boxes, 1 Camera bag, 4 suit cases, 1 vital laptop.... :D
Have a great time anyway. :D :D

BON VOYAGE

God speed on your odyssey, Michele,
be buoyed by each beneficent sea;
make a date with a daily on-deck spell
to soak up good old vitamin D.
'Far from the madding crowd's ignoble'
stress, and gales-menaced economy.

We hope you have a wonderful trip Michele and manage to get some time for yourself so that you can relax and enjoy all the great things that will be available to you both on board ship and also the fantastic places you will be able to see.

We are so looking forward to reading your reports but in the meantime, we wish you all the very best for a super holiday.

:) :)

When I read the four boxes of books, my first thought was "why is Michele reading all those books? ... she should be bungee jumping over Ayers Rock, kayaking on the North Island, and taking a few city tours  . But then I realized that they will contain The Singer's Singer.

Have a wonderful world cruise Michele! Looking forward to the roving reports.
