Matt Uncovered - The Rarer Monro

The track listing for "The Rarer Matt" is only on HMV.com, And I would like to hear Matt's version of "I Apologize"

NOTE: The new Judith Durham CD of "The Hottest Jazz Band in Town" (Vol.1&2) is due to be released 8 Aug 2012.
But HMV does not even list any of Judith Durham CDs!! WowHD does have it for pre-order at $23.99!!
What gives with HMV not having any Judith Durham recordings in their catalog??

Yes you're right Henry I just checked their site and they don't. I've found that with HMV when checking artists & titles I've been interested in.

That's because they are Australian releases and ONLY released over there. Import prices from oz are quite expensive. Keep an eye on Ebay I bought her first A&M LP on CD for about £13 - all online stores had it at at least £20. I really don't know why Universal aren't issuing them over here too!

Thank you for the update, Richard. Is it possible to explain why the Greed refuses to let the world purchase a recording of Bound for Texas? Seems ridiculous that capitalism can stand in the way of people trying to honestly purchase beautiful music which the artists INTENDED for the world to enjoy. If they won't release it, what is their problem with contracting with somebody else doing so??? I was so looking forward to having "Bound for Texas". I don't think it's possible to get Charlie's movie anymore in which it was featured.

Lindy, It's not capitalism, it's copyright law at fault here. Universal won't license something that they don't think they own!

They couldn't find any evidence that they definitely owned the track despite the fact that that Universal Japan issued it on CD in the 90's!

I heard the preview tracks on Matt's new CD tonight on Amazon.com.....They sound great, especially the song "If You Go".
I ordered my copy from WOW-HD, but it's the first time I used them.....Any one of you ever ordered from them?
This is also the site I ordered the newly remastered Judith Durham CD - "The Hottest Band in Town-Vol 1 & 2" which
will be released the same week as Matt's CD.

Henry Wow HD was formerly CDWow and I used to order a lot from them and they were excellent - they then changed their policy and I stopped using them but that was some years ago and they've changed again.
I am sure you'll be fine with them.

I listened to a few yesterday evening, and they are still available now.

This version of Strange Lady In Town seems to be different from the one previously available to download.

This is because this is the version as originally released on the 78 'Hillbilly Favorites'. The other version comes from the cassette 'The Harry Leader Story' which in turn comes from an acetate owned by the Leader estate which is an alternate take.

Yes, I tried both Amazon US and UK and though I see the Rarer Monro page, there are no previews.
That's bizarre that they were on there before, but not now (as of July 28, 5:50 Mountain time). Why does it always seem that that there's a Jokester playing pranks on Matt Monro??

I got it by going to Amazon/Matt Uncovered/MP3 Downloads.Clicked on to play ALL and then selected the tracks I wanted to listen to on the left hand side.
