The Second Disc

Five years in the making it delivers exactly what it says on the cover. Stored in the vaults of EMI and the BBC for more than four decades this sees 50 + wonderful new tracks as well as a smattering of unearthed jingles that Matt recorded for some of the most prestigious products of the day.

:) :) .............but are these words correct ? ............ " with Paul Fenouhlet’s arrangement inspired by Nelson Riddle’s chart for Monro’s friend and fan, Frank Sinatra "....................Sinatra was a fan of Matts music, but he never ever met Matt

Well spotted Robert - Matt never met Sinatra that is quite correct.

He did see Sinatra in concert though, as Matt was interviewed by David Jacobs afterwards.

He did indeed - Although the interview you mention is actually before the concert.

My mistake Richard. It's because it's at the very end of the recording I just thought it was at the end!
I haven't seen it for a while but I'm sure David must have mentioned Matt was going in, Shirley Bassey too.

Its a shame that Matt and Frank Sinatra never met, same with Cliff and Elvis. Ships that pass in the night and all that!

Good to see you back Marian, have you been on holiday?
