Alex it's great to know someone your age appreciates Matt's talent as I did when I was your age.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I have a wide taste in music. I also like:

Richard Hawley
Neil Diamond (Seen at The o2 a couple of years back)
Tony Christie (I've met him three times backstage after shows, lovely guy and a big Matt fan himself)
The Divine Comedy
Bruce Springsteen
Glen Campbell (Saw on his farewell Uk tour a couple of years ago)
Neil Sedaka
Roy Orbison

My favourite tracks? Well there's a few. Don't know how surprised you'll be at some. I rather like his later stuff. Here's my top five:

1. Walk Away - Probably my favourite song. Everything is so right about this song and I'm sure it's a topic we have all related to at some point in our lives.
2. If I Never Sing Another Song - Very poignant, very moving record which is sung as exepertly as usual.
3. Let Me Sing And I'm Happy - From The Alternate Monro. Just love this smooth free flowing tune. Sung with such panache and cheekiness.
4. Did It Happen - From The Alternate Monro. Although this proved a real headache for Richard Moore to edit, it's now one of my favourite Matt Monro songs. Well done sir.
5. So Little Time - One of his later songs I think. The later music is just a nice refreshing change of direction and some very powerful and moving lyrics here.

Hi Alex--it is always good to see a new member on the Forum, and reading some different viewpoints.

One of my big favorites is Neil Sedaka, who I have been lucky enough to meet a vfew times, when the Fan club was running.
