Thanks Marian and Don for your advice. Yes I do book holidays
online but very little else. Our frustration stems from the fact of
my missus, knowing I wasn't in possession of Matt's CDs, and that
she doesn't use the computer, was unable to buy them at HMV
and leave them under the Christmas tree as a surprise of sorts.
However, I'm determined to have them to enjoy over the festive
period via Amazon.
Like Cinderella I shall go to the Ball, or at least have one listening
to the magic of Matt Monro.
:D

I'd already seen that Amazon have both of them in stock Keith. Maybe not a real surprise but we know you will enjoy them Keith. A Happy Christmas to you and your family!

Thanks again for your kindness in confirming that Amazon have
the CDs in stock, Marian. Maybe HMV have taken the title Rarieties
too literally.
My best wishes to you and your family also for happiness at Christmas
and good health in 2014. The following lines suggest that we
may all let our hair down and thoroughly enjoy ourselves:

that part of the brain designed to create
a predisposition to celebrate.

Hope you get the CDs in time for Christmas Keith. :)

We can only think that HMV do not have them in stock as we remember Michele saying that EMI had a minimum order requisite and perhaps Parlophone has the same terms.

GUEST-OF-HONOUR

From being like an excluded street urchin with his nose
pressed up against the Christmas party window,
I was suddenly inside enjoying a wide variety of musical treats,
spread mouth-wateringly on rounded show.
Whether it was savouring the stunningly extensive Rarities eats,
or opting for the vegetarian-style Alternate menu was my thing,
it is an understatement to declare that the Matt Monro-hosted
celebration went with a delightfully pleasurable swing.
Yippee!
