Ours arrived here today.
Can't wait to listen to it.

Re: Rarities
I got my copy the same day as you Karl - thanks to your tip to use Sainsburys. It's great to get the radio songs sequenced better than on Rare Monro, and with their introductions. Strike Up The Band is a great improvement.karl wrote:Sandra you and I seem to be the only two people who own a copy as nobody else has mentioned it yet!
Re: Rarities
Sorry Mike I forgot you did, I also ordered another copy from Sainsburys to send to the States and it arrived today. Maybe we'll get Matt in the charts?
Re: Rarities
I got my copy from Amazon yesterday There's a whole lot of listening ahead!
Re: Rarities
Mine arrived a couple of days ago, but so far, I have not had a single chance to listen to it--looks a load on there, what a bargain for us. On top of that I had a refund from Amazon as the price had dropped by---1p.
It must have cost them more to process the 1p--I wonder they do not put in a proviso, that if an item dropped in price fpr less than a fixed amount---even 50p--and for all that money to go to a worthy cause --there are certainly plenty to choose from in Uk---I think all those small amounts would add up to a big amount. they could easily put in an opt out/opt in button somewhere.

What a wonderful collection from the Rare and Rarer CD's
The Rarities Collection contains many gems from the originals but also includes the perfectly wonderful re-mastered version of STRIKE UP THE BAND,The Spanish and English mix of the poignant LOVE STORY,Matt's
first film soundtrack BOUND FOR TEXAS and so much more.
We always love the 'live' radio programmes and the 'laid back' sessions with George Martin and Johnny Spence .
WALK INTO THE DAWN,ALL MY LOVING,BY THE WAY so many favourites.
THANKYOU Michele and Richard for another 'work of art' from you both. :

Re: Rarities
It has been absolutely great listening to the Rarities. We feel very privileged to have this wonderful collection brought to us by Michele and Richard.
Re: Rarities
I simply haven't had the time to order mine yet been so busy at work. What with Christmas coming I'll probably pick it up after what with presents to buy for but knowing me and my Monro obsession I might not be able to wait that long!
Re: Rarities
Josh it takes seconds to order online, just how busy ARE you?

Re: Rarities
My wife wanted to give me the Rarieties and the Alternate Monro
CDs for Christmas so she duly went to HMV on Oxford Street expecting,
at worse, to wait while they were ordered. She left empty-handed
because the store didn't even have the music on their computer.
I guess we shall have to buy the CDs online even though we never
make purchases that way.
I think this is appallingly remiss on the part of a national music store.

Re: Rarities
That's a shame Keith, but you should find buying on line quite a simple experience.
