I feel they are using the same pics that have been on other releases, no doubt though to keep costs down!

There is a limit to what photos exist in the EMI archive pretty much all of which have now been seen.

You'd think Matt would have had his picture taken countless times Richard.

Warner has access only to the photographs in it's archives or pay extortionate amounts to license them from other organisations.
They can't use anything from the Capitol years as these, just like the recordings now belong to Universal.
We didn't want anything from later in Matt's career too as these were not relevant.
Odd as it may seem, EMI weren't hanging round every corner with a camera. It has made life quite difficult choosing picture in the past as there are so few to choose from.

The vast majority of those photographs on your link are not owned by Warner and generally posted on the net without permission.
It's not as easy as it may first seem you see.

Shame the Capitol photos cant be used ..........I love all the photos of Matt wearing the white shirt during one of his Capitol recording sessions ...................he looks COOOOL

So many problems Richard just to get a picture, it's unbelievable.

I like several pics of Matt but especially the one where he's standing on the tarmac beside the plane wearing a leather coat.

I checked most of my Matt cd's and found the pic on the last one The Collection, Matt is on the tarmac beside a BOAC plane and has a suitcase in his hand . The coat isn't leather looks more like a raincoat but I am sure I've seen him in a similar pic wearing a short leather coat as I have one .
