Peter and I have watched it, and there is a definite improvement in both picture, very noticeable in the close-up shots, and the audio quality.
It's good to have the short bonus footage showing split screen views of both recordings. Also nice that the introduction before the show is included, including the host wrongly referring to "Portrait of My Love" as a demonstration disc when it first came out.

Of course we have got the Cd Robert, it's for those who haven't or didn't get it.
We will probably give an account of the remasterd "An Evening With Matt," too... when we watch it tomorrow, even though we've got and seen the original one too.

I have just noticed that HMV have altered their website to £15.99 from £11.99.

I did write and complain that there was a descrepency between the price listed (£11.99) and the price when you placed the item in your basket (£15.99).

What has annoyed me is HMV have read my e-mail complaining about this but haven't bothered replying, they've just upped the price on the website.

:(

Anyway, whatever price I pay i'm sure it will be worth it! :)

Watched "An Evening With" last night. The quality is a lot better than the original, both the picture and the sound. Highly recommended.
Watched parts of "Matt On TV" again last night, can't get enough of this. I forgot to mention, a big well done to Matt Jnr's commentary, job well done. The sleeve notes were great as well Michele, I was so excited last week with the dvd I forgot to mention those as well.

Well everyone, I am thrilled to say my copy arrived yesterday and I am delighted with this dvd.
I loved the presentation of the dvd, from the menu's to Matt Jnr's intro's on Matt on TV and of course the content.

I am really, really delighted to add this disc to my collection, how wonderful it is to see Matt perform.

I think the restoration of An Evening With is first class, I was really blown away by the sound quality, top job.

My favourite from Matt on TV is Isn't it a Pity, I fear I may wear the disc out watching this clip. :)

Thanks, Michele, for bringing us this treasure.

:)
Yes, Robert, I had a bit of a job in tracking it down but got there eventually.
It really was worth the wait, really, really, enjoyed the dvd.

I can't get over the difference in sound quality of An Evening With...
Through my amp Matt's voice has become so pure.
Whoever cleaned that old 16mm film up wants a medal.
