The Ultimate Performer

Post by maureen & harry » Mon Feb 23, 2009 9:11 pm

We recently received our copy of The Ultimate Performer and for those of you who already have it we are sure you will agree that it is superb. For those of you who haven't got it yet, you are in for a treat when you do.

The remastered 'An Evening With' has certainly improved the quality and the TV performances were just great and took us down memory lane seeing some of those shows again.

Also looking forward to the BBC DVD which includes 'Matt Sings Monro' and we are sure you will all enjoy this and it will be a must for any fan's collection. We were lucky enough to see it broadcast in 1975 but don't think it was ever repeated.

Michele has really worked wonders to get these DVDs released for us all.

Yes Maureen and Harry, "The Ultimate Performer" is great, we are all agreed on that. Michele has done a brilliant job, and like you say, we have Matt at the BBC to look forward to next month.

:?: Does anyone know whether HMV sells the deluxe set or just the basic DVD? Their website doesn't indicate whether the CD is included. :?

Just to make sure there is no confusion, there is only one edition of the Ultimate Performer which contains both the DVD and the CD.

I have just finished watching the "Ultimate Performer" with quite a few tears, as I know Len would have loved it and most probably would have worn it out quickly watching it again and again. Michele you have come up trumps again. It was absolutely marvellous.

I have just finished watching The Ultimate Performer... ( so grateful to Mariana) I could go to the local movie theatre , but never would I see anything more entertaining, than this dvd... Matt so brilliant , and Matt jr.. You can just feel the devotion he has for his father.. I simply loved it, and how we should be so grateful to Michele for having discovered these treasures.... The music is wonderful Such A treat , and only re-enforces, all the love I have for Matt Monro
