I think Petula may have a previous thread--but I could not find it.

I do not usually read a paper, but I saw one yesterday-and it said that Petula is 79 years old [as of yesterday]--Can this be true ???

It does not seem that long ago, that I was watching her as a young actress in The "Huggett" films, and starting her singing career, with songs like "The Little Shoemaker " !!!

Yes, it is hard to believe that she is 79, Marian, she was born in 1932. Been performing for about 70 years too, incredible. :)

It certainly is hard to believe that Petula Clark is 79. A wonderful career as a singer and actress, and if my memory serves me well I'm sure there was a call for her to be recognised as a Dame a few years ago. About time it happened. !!!!

Wow she's 79 and still going. My Mom is a major fan and she's 78. My folks always play her records from time to time and I find myself singing along. I love Petula also!! :D
