THE NEW SQUADRONAIRES ORCHESTRA

Post by Sandra » Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:00 am

We saw the 'New Squadronaires Orchestra' or the 'Squads' as they are sometimes called at our Theatre Royal Lincoln last night.
Don't miss them if you are a fan of big band music. They were led by our own MARK PORTER and what a great voice he has.
Mark and the band kept the audience tapping their feet throughout the whole
show with wonderful music throughout.
Thankyou Mark a superb night :D :D :D

Sounds like you had a great night Sandra and John. There's nothing to compare with the Big Band sound and we hope we get the opportunity to see The Squadronairs at some time in the not too distant future, and seeing and hearing our Mark must have put the icing on the cake for you both. We are lucky that we still have great singers like Mark to keep our kind of music and the standars songs alive. :)

That sounds like a wonderful show, Sandra and John. That is great that you could see our own Mark Porter.

I agree with Lena and Harry that there is nothing better than a live big band. Last night I went to see two of the big bands at my local university. Many of the students were music majors, but some of the students just love to play music. And it was great to see so many girl trumpet and trombone players as well as a young lady on the drums!
