Jack’s 50th Anniversary Tour was a very memorable occasion, and we thoroughly enjoyed the concerts we went to.
He was in great form, and appeared happy and relaxed wherever he appeared, travelling the length and breadth of the country in a tour bus.
The voice was as strong and powerful as it always was, and he held those notes magnificently, with his terrific breath control they seem to go on forever.
Taking his song choices way back to some of his earliest recordings, he produced wonderful memories with “Our Songâ€, My Romance†and “Dear Heart,†amongst others, to reach the heights with his more recent stage performance from “Man of La Mancha,†which he sings with such power and conviction.
With swinging tunes like “I’ve Got You Under My Skin†and Just in Time,â€to a moving and melodic interpretation of “Somewhere,†Jack treated the packed houses to a many and varied selection, finishing each night with several encores and standing ovations all round.
He was joined this tour by a friend of over thirty years, Bob Anderson, who as well as having an amazing vocal ability of his own, added humour to the show with his great interpretations of singers like Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Johnny Mathis, Tom Jones etc.

Along with his own trio, who travelled with Jack from the U.S. he was accompanied by a great band of British musicians, who made each performance a memorable and entertaining occasion on this special landmark year.
