Did anyone else get to listen to this interview--actually it was a very good interview--Elaine seemed to get the best out of him--and even I learnt some things that I did not know.

Elaine's website featured a longer version, that ended with John singing [no music] a song called "Sunday" that I have only heard at one JM concert in 1983. It was written by Paul Williams, and I have tried unsuccessfully to get any kind of recording of this song by any singer--I have never even found it on any Paul Williams cds.

The trouble is there are several songs called "Sunday"--but this one goes

"Sunday--let's stay in bed, it's Sunday,
Football games and Gunplay are all that's on tv.
Stay beside me Sunday, Let's hibernate till Monday,
It's fun in more than one way--it's cosy and it's free"

Anyone out there have any ideas on this one

Yes the extended interview is still on there--the Elaine Paige page.

I have been trying to get the files onto a cd, but I think it is impossible.

Marian, I think I have a way of saving it to my computer and possibly on to a CD from there. :? :? I could give it a go anyway.

If you could do that Marian, I will be eternally grateful.

I have tried every avenue I can think of-so has my friend who has "state of the art" equipment-I guess like everything, it is just knowing how.

Can you direct me to it Marian. I put Johnny Mathis in on the Elaine Page section of Radio 2 and got Pittsburgh University!
I think you are right about computers having minds of their own :? :?

Thanks Marian--it is the extended interview that I am really interested in--it is in a little separate section.

You will not believe this--after 25 years of trying to find this song "Sunday", just last week I bought a new cd by Paul Williams [new in that I do not think it has ever been released on cd before--I certainly have never seen it, and I buy all Paul William's albums]---anyway--right there half way down was the song "Sunday"--I could not believe my eyes !! It was just a week ago that I was saying that I could not get hold of it. It just shows---never give up !!!

I have also discovered that Paul Williams wrote "Nice to be around"---but I do not know if many of you would know this song.

Hi Mariana

I remember that Nice To Be Around was from the film Cinderella Liberty.
Rosemary Clooney sang a great cover version as did Helen Reddy, Maureen McGovern and Johnny Mathis. Johnny's version is one of the highlights on his When Will I See You Again album, isn't it? :D

That is correct Terence-a really nice Lp--also containing some great songs--Let me be the one---The Way we were---Laughter in the rain---You and me against the world [Paul Williams again]---but strangely, never yet released on a CD!!
