LORNA LUFT ON TV

Post by karl » Thu Dec 05, 2013 7:40 pm

DId anyone see Lorna tonight on the Paul O'Grady show?

She is always so nice (as is Liza) very down to earth.

They showed an old clip of her with Jack Jones and she said she often see's him in the supermarket.

How come I never see anyone famous in mine?

She was great Karl. The voice wasn't as it was obviously. We saw her about 20 years ago at Grimsby and she brought the house down.
A classy lovely lady who can still hold a song, and seems to have avoided the pitfalls of fame that dogged her poor Mum Judy, and sister Liza.

And doesn't Paul just appreciate his guests, especially the classic stars like Lorna. :D

I agree Sandra and I liked the way Lorna took the hands of the other guests when she was singing, it was natural and dnot theatrical. Personally I think she's a lovely person, she is not on British tv often but she is always so nice when she is.

And imagine meeting Jack Jones in the supermarket! I hope he doesn't buy the "savers" brands!!!!

I love the sisters...they seem so genuine ..and she sang so lovely...even Paul was misting up lol. Must try and see her...lol i always giggle when people say " I'm on my Jack jones". (On my own) mum liked him ...I'm terrible for being star struck...if I saw David Beckham id faint lol...i don't usually like footballers ..always seem a bit arrogant and love themselves but David yes he loves himself but he seems so genuinely nice....don't tell hubby ...actually he already knows I'm sweet on him 8) If i saw David Cassidy i think I would just cry....well I'm allowed ...being middle aged and everything :D ..sorry i think I've gone off the subject ...yes Lorna was great and of course her mum when she sings Somewhere Over The Rainbow ... Misty eyes always

Judy Garland at Carnegiei Hall is a superb album and she is in fine voice.

Maxine as for being star struck, the first time I met Dusty I walked up the few stairs to her dressing room and there she was standing in front of me, I swear my mouth fell open as she looked so good - much nicer then on tv.

I find it's better just to be yourself when you meet someone famous, I know it isn't always easy but when you think about it they are just the same as you and I - only much more talented!!!!! :)

Lolol thanks Karl ....I'm quite talented ...infact I'm a legend ....in my own bathroom  Hubby is so different to me ...he wouldn't get too star struck with anybody ....very cynical ....but that's good because it balances me ...I'm more cynical than i used to be ..but that's young age... 8)
