MATT CALLING ME ON THE PHONE

Post by Clint » Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:57 am

I remember in 1974 when I had my major surgery done to my sping, at first I had Four bolts into my scull, I had that for Five months and then I was in plaster for Four. Anyway Matt was in Edinburgh for Three nights doing shows, one of the porters knew just how much a fan I was of Matt Monro, he phoned the venue and told them, I got the shock of my life when the sister of the ward called me into here office and who was on the phone to me? Yeah you have guessed it, Matt Monro, I was so over the moon I can tell you.

I have also spoken and met Sir Sean 007 Connery, what a gentleman he is, just like what Matt was

Hi Robert, surely whether the story of Clint's phone call
from Matt is being re-told or not is irrelevant, it can certainly
bear repetition. I'm sure you would agree with me that
the experience was a better tonic than all the medication
prescribed to aid Clint's recovery. It was typical of Matt,
and one more reason why we all continue to love him.
