Sandra, yes, I have my YOURS by subscription., and for my sister too.
It's sometimes debateable when new subscibers get offers but not for current or long term subscibers. It just means getting it a day or so earlier than most shops and saving going to get it.
We will be ordering the DVD from Amazon too. :)

Ed, If you open Vance's thread on the 'Matt on TV' section he has the direct link to the Des O'Connor DVD listed there. Actually, I might as well add it here too.

http://www.networkdvd.net/product_info. ... cts_id=904

It is much cheaper on Amazon though.

I've watched quite a lot of the DVD now and I was quite disappointed with the content. Too much dated comedy with long drawn out sketches, although there are some funny moments. Too much Des O' Connor, which I knew there would be, and not enough of the special guest stars from the shows.
The quality too is nothing like the fine digitally remastered DVDs we have been used to of late. All in all, it not really worth anything like the price being asked. It looks like Matt only sings "We're Gonna Change the World"too.

I have watched part of the dvd also Marian. I think probably like you, I have watched as far as Matt's performance, very nice performance by Matt as always. Too many comedy clips in between, like you say Marian. Terry Thomas was good as always. I do quite like Des O Connor, I think he is a good entertainer, not all that keen on his choice of songs so far. Hope he sings my favourite of his, "I Pretend" somewhere on the shows.

I have not received mine yet, but the [only]review on Amazon, says that there is too much time taken up by Jack Douglas, who was not even funny!

Lucky we have our fast forward buttons

I agree,it is really disappointing. It should be re-named the Des and Jack show.I will never watch it again.
Matt was of course superb but only on once.Liberace was good. The selection of songs so far sung by Des are awful
although his voice is of course very nice. :(

Does Dame Shirley Bassey appear in it? She was a frequent guest in his shows.

Hi Terence-I do not think she is on this one-but I think there may be more planned--especially as it says "volume 1"
