Along with Matt, you were the first singing voices I heard in my pram. You are still, and will ever be , Here In My Heart.

We are devastated, upset and shocked right now.
To think we will never hear Al's glorious voice live or see him in concert again is something we can't quite believe at this time.
Al was to return here next June for a tour, sadly this wasn't to be.
We are thinking of Al's wife Judi and the rest of Al's family right now.
R.I.P. Al.

We are absolutely devastated too. I feel so lucky to have seen him perform on each of his tours from the past five years, and he was marvelllous each time. I thank him for all those wonderful memories, plus all the wonderful recordings he has left us with.
Our thoughts are with Judi and the rest of the Martino family.
Dear Al, rest in peace.

Have never been a fan but he certainly made his mark on the world of music. Condolences to Al's family, friends and fans.

So sad to hear of Al's death. He primarily toured the States during the summer months (oftentimes at Italian festivals). He was part of such a rich, prolific era of male pop vocalists, and will be greatly missed. R.I.P., our Gentleman of Song.

Such sad news-I could hardly believe it when I heard it on the radio this morning.

A really great talent, who will be much missed.

Philadelphia radio and television personality Jerry Blavat dined with Martino and his wife on Monday night.

Blavat told the Philadelphia Daily News that Martino appeared to be in fine shape and that he was shocked to hear of his death.

Always the classy dresser, Mr. Martino said in 2009 that he hoped today's youth would be able to have its own romanticism in future recordings. "I can't sell records in stores anymore; everything is online and I don't have access to younger audiences," he said. "But 20 or 30 years from now, how are kids going to feel romance?"

Sad to hear about the death of Al Martino, it's the end of an era, with Al being the first singer to reach number 1 in the UK. I know that he was popular with many of the regulars here and will be missed by fans around the world. My thoughts are with you all. God bless

My first thoughts after hearing the sad news was for the sadness our very own John and L&H would be feeling :(
.........Al was fine on Monday, does anyone know the reason for Al's passing yet ?? .............Here In My Heart and Spanish Eyes are two of Al's wonderful recordings :) ...........I also like Al's version of The Story of Tina :) ..........RIP :(

Very sad to hear the news this morning that Al had died. A great singer of such fine vocal quality right through the years. A true gentleman too. Another from the era of the 'true' singers. Bless you Al.
