who are the artistes and what are the songs that say christmastime to you?

For me it's everything from Bing's evergreen (or should that be ever white?) through Judy's "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" right up to The Pogues bittersweet "Fairytale Of New York"

For me, it's Barbra Joan Streisand's frantic version of Jingle Bells from her first Christmas cd and Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song cd. Other artistes that bring the Christmas spirit to me in hot humid Malaysia are Perry Como, Elvis Presley and Dame Cleo Laine. This year, I shall also be spinning Matt Monro's single. Has anyone not heard Barbra singing White Christmas? Hello Gorgeous!

When I was young, my parents had a Xmas Jim Reeves LP that I played constantly and as a child I loved 'Senor Santa Claus' in particular.
Fast forward 30 years and now I'm married, but when I left home I was allowed to bring the LP with me. It is still played every Yuletide!
As soon as I hear Mr Reeves singing 'Silver Bells' I'm roasting my chestnuts on an open fire (ouch!) faster than you can say Jack Frost.
To me, Xmas wouldn't be the same without that old battered and scrachted LP.
