My Grand-dad was a big fan of Kathy Kirby, in fact I always though "Secret Love" was her song as I heard it a long time before I heard Miss Day's version.

Your Grandad Marty?? not your dad?? You're making us all feel very old Marty, all of a sudden, as I remember Kathy Kirby very well from the 60's

We have also heard a rumour that Kathy has agreed to a documentary on her life, which is one of those sad stories of a rise to success and stardom, and putting her trust in the wrong hands. She was continuouosly on our screens in the Sixties. A big star attraction. :) :)

I think it would be a great idea for Kathy Kirby to appear in a documentary of her life--there are probably many people out there like me, who did not know all about her tragic past. I am sure she would find that nearly everyone would sympathise with and support her, rather than condemn her.

Marian, that's true, we would be among the first to sympathise. People make their mistakes mostly when young, and only learn by the experience.
We remember reading of advice given by Judy Garland to her daughter Liza Minnelli to... never trust anybody, particularly in this business.

Just seen a clip of Kathy Kirby singing HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY XMAS from the 1960's on THE PAUL O GRADY SHOW. Terrific singer.

I was listening to Kathy this afternoon, her THANKS TO YOU cd, and it just reminded me that Marian from Kent purchased a couple of her cd's a week or so ago, did you enjoy them, Marian? Gradually more of her rare records are being released again at long last.

I will have to look out for that next time I am in HMV. Some of these albums can be pretty cheap and so its almost cheaper than downloading. What does she sing on it Marian?

I primarily bought it because she sings "Knowing when to leave"., but there are 28 tracks on it altogether.

It is in Amazon for just under £9.00, but I just thought that I would check out ebay---they only had it as an Lp for a bargain [!!! ] price--of wait for it

£90.00 :!: :!:

No I did not slip in an extra 0. I think it also said they were willing to take best offer!!!

So if any of you have got a stash of Kathy Kirby Lps lying around---you could be sitting on a nice little sum.

Which reminds me--I have been trying to get Marti Webb "Tell me on a Sunday" on cd. This cd is like gold dust--at one time recently Amazon was selling it for £85.00---it is now at £42.00-used.

Even on ebay, it goes for extraordinary prices. So again--if any of you have got this tucked away, and want to earn some cash--just try ebay.
