Look forward to seeing Wossie interview Bassey then  Although I'm sure the 4 gentlemen and their piano will be her biggest fans

I cannot abide Jonathan Ross and would not watch him or listen to him under any circumstances.

As I often say to my Mum Marian, its a generation gap thing  She really can't stand him and thinks that someone wuthi his voice shouldn't be allowed on the BBC! I could take him or leave him but- I've warmed to him, and if we are driving on a Saturday morning then his Radiio 2 programme is a must!

Mariana,
You are absolutely correct in your Ross directive! He is talented in his own way, but the money he earns and the way in which he interviews is a right pain in the ....! He never let's the personality answer the questions he's set which irritates me! But because it's our Shirley I will watch but cringe every time Ross opens his mouth!!!!

Mike--it is not a generation gap thing--nor is it his voice--I hate everything he says--he is rude and vulgar-and just horrible.

Jonathan Ross is certainly not required Radio 1 and Radio 2 listening for me each week. Too many other shows more interesting. However, I did hear his radio interview with Julie Andrews a few months ago and found it informative. I feel that she was given sufficient time to discuss her projects.

:?: Is his interview with Shirley Bassey on his TV or radio programme? (I'm hoping it's radio. :) )

The Dame is at no. 5

Post by Terence Lee » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:00 am

A little bird told me the Dame has pulled out of the Jonathan Ross show but how reliable is the info remains to be seen.

Dame Shirley Bassey's new CD "Get The Party Started" is at no. 5 on Amazon's Hot Future Releases Chart. Click on this link to view.

Robert - the 4 chaps and the piano do it for free - they just love the exposure and the chance to rub shoulders with the stars  I always watch the reaction of the guests as they are serenaded on stage by 4 gay men!

As far as JR himself goes, I know what Marian means about how he can be vulgar, and very often there is no need for it. Its all designed to appeal to the Friday 'night after the pub crowd' I suppose. but he does get some terrific guests on!

Jeff, as Mike says, Jonathan Ross' Friday night TV series is a world apart from his Radio 2 interviews, which are much more serious (especially when interviewing Julie Andrews   ). JR is OK doing his "Film 2007 etc..." TV shows.
