Yes, I think it was released about two years ago Marian. I think it is called "My Story, My Life" and is available from amazon sellers from £1.44. He promoted in on Alan Titchmarsh's show.
I have an old book of his as well, I think it is either called The Special Years or Walk Tall. :)

Val's book is really good, I got mine in Bookworld - he seems such a genuine man.

I think mine is The Special Years John. I remember being disappointed that Matt wasn't mentioned though. :(

There's a nice clip of a very young Vince on Youtube singing Twisting The Night Away but the sound isn't so great.

I may keep quiet about the book--after all , I have all his recordings, and he is primarily a singer.

I'm bringing this to the top just in case anyone wants to genuinely write about Vince Hill in the future.
I think he a very good singer and sings our kind of songs. :D

Thanks Marian---he is such a good singer, but sadly overlooked these days--I cannot remember the last time I heard him on the radio.

Mark, Marian(a) and I said awhile back how disappointed we felt with Vince's book, for someone who has been in the business that long it was so short. Vince deserved much better, when you compare it to Matt's which is what it should have been like. It wasn't even commercially available in bookstores but only through the publisher.

We have seen in todays news that Vince Hill's son Athol has died just 36 hours after surviving a car crash.
He was 42 years old and father of Two.
Vince is currently nursing his wife Annie who is terminally ill with a lung condition. This is so sad and those of us who attended Mickies funeral will remember Annie and Vince who also attended and have been described as Two of the loveliest and happiest couples in the showbusiness world.
R.I.P. Athol Hill.
