Gray -- This is shocking that you would like a Gabrielle song. Are you sure it was my Gabrielle or was it the new young singer Gabriella Cilmi?

:?: What radio station was playing it? Was it up tempo or slow? What were the lyrics?

Ah, hmm, maybe I've got mixed up.
It was quite funky, very catchy sort of song.
Can't remember the lyrics -sorry!
It is being played on Radio 2 at the moment!

Hi Paul

Thought you might be interested to know that the Tuesday night edition of "Soundtrack of my Life" on ITV1 (18 March) features a half-hour interview with Gabrielle talking about her life and favourite music. It's on from 23:05 to 23:35. Can you get this station in the States?

Also another singer you like, Roisin Murphy, was listed to appear live in Trafalgar Square at yesterday's St Patrick's Day celebrations. I made my way out there, fully intending to see her, but the weather was so miserable - cold and wet - that once I'd sat down in Cafe Nero in Piccadilly with my book I couldn't face the walk over there so missed her.

Hi Marian

Many thanks for agreeing to record that programme for Paul; I'm sure he'll be very grateful. I didn't know you were compiling such a tape but this will be a welcome addition to it.

Thanks Jon for mentioning the Gabrielle ITV appearance. You are correct ... I am most grateful for the Gabrielle DVD. Thanks so much Marian. I love Gabs and her music very much. :) 8)

Jon - Sorry you missed Roisin Murphy and spent the time at Cafe Nero. (Not that there's anything wrong with Nero!) I would love it if she sang Sing It Back and The Time Is Now, those are my favourites from the Moloko days. I still haven't heard the latest album.

:?: By the way, who is the saint of Scotland? Could it be St Andrew? What day is St Andrew's Day?

No Gray, I am not a Gabrielle fan--but I know that Paul is.

Yes St Andrew is the Patron saint of Scotland--not sure what day it is.

:D I'm pleased to report that Gabrielle recently won an Ivor Novello award for "Outstanding Song Collection". I'm very proud of her. She deserves this for all the excellent music she's given her fans through the years. :) 8)

I was also thrilled that Cherry Ghost won 'outstanding contemporary song' for "People Help The People." :)
