I watched the whole programme last night just to see him. Although I really love Andy Williams music as you all know, he wasn't at his best last night unfortunatley. :( Several comments on the internet this morning as well about his performance. It's a great shame, really. Perhaps his concert tomorrow night at the Royal Albert Hall will be better.

Yes, he was definitely stuggling last night, but you never know, his plan maybe he's saving himself for The Royal Albert Hall.

We said on here a couple of years ago when he last toured, it was time for AW to retire his once glorious voice................the voice does go eventually :( ............. (Tony Bennett and Al Martino) excepted  :)

Yes, I saw Andy Williams about 7 years ago and He was really superb then, he sang very well and it was a really good show. I decided against going to see him last year, his last album in my opinion wasn't all that good. I'd rather remember him the way he was when I saw him.
Al Martino is still very exceptional though and other singers like Patti Page and Ed Ames are brilliant as well at a similar age.

Here is a review of Andy's show from the Royal Albert Hall last night that was sent to me today.

Here is the first report about Andy’s triumphant concert at Royal Albert Hall today:

Have just arrived home from The Royal Albert Hall.....Andy was truly amazing, I have seen him many times but for me this was the best show ever. He stunned the audience, grown men were in tears! He just didn't stop, one fantastic song after the other, mainly oldies but what was brilliant was his rendition of "Doe Rae Me" from the sound of music, it was funny & brilliantly performed along with new 'Osmond' family! A fabulous standing ovation followed by more rapturous applause ended a brilliant 2 hour show, most left with tears in their eyes knowing that this would most likely be Andy's final UK performance...
I think they sold all of his books I came home with my much treasured copy.
Keep on singing Andy...

An excellent review which I am really pleased about, Saturday nights performance on SCD was perhaps an off night for him.

Well, Andy could not have wished for a better review than that. I did not see him singinmg "Moon River" last week, so cannot comment on his performance.

He has just been on with Jools Holland Marian, singing Moon River again, I thought it was a better performance than Saturday.

I listened to his SCD performance of Moon River on youtube. I thought his top notes were fine. But I thought he looked terrible. :!: I know he's in his 80s, but I know many people in their 80s who look much better.

I can't wait to see him sing (and hopefully chat) on Jools Holland.

Yes Robert, he always seems to sing Moon River.
Jools mentioned something about him being on Friday night as well, I am not sure if it is an extended version of tonights show.

Friday night is always an extended version. Usually each performer sings two or three songs, and Jools Holland chats with several of the artists or even sits in with them on piano. How cool would it be if Jools accompanied Andy on Happy Heart?! :)
