Yes, and the donations received restore ones faith in human nature :) except for a joker who pledged £50,000 and then it was discovered it was a hoax.

Have just seen that Russell has been re-admitted to hospital, with headaches, dizziness, blurred vision. following his operation.
We are wishing him well.

I'd like to wish Russell all the very best too, and hope he'll soon be well again. I believe he has a tour booked shortly as a friend of mine is going if it goes ahead.

Thanks Mark, but no news on his website that I could see, since he was readmitted on the 6th October. Just wondered if anyone had heard any more.

I hear from a friend who has booked to see Russell's show on tour, that it has been postponed until February 2007. Also that he is progressing well.
:D :D

Just been watching Russell Watson talking on "The Heaven and Earth Show" about his near brush with death.
Talking to Gloria Hunniford, he spoke about first finding out that he had a brain tumour, which apparently was the size of two golf b a l l s!
It was just behind the bridge of his nose and had actually infiltrated into the back of his nose. Despite being told on two occasions over here that it was only migraine, he was diagnosed straight away at Cedar Sinai Hospital in America.
Very luckily, the tumour proved to be benign and he is now fully fit again and beginning his postponed UK tour. His new album of mainly standards was something he wanted to finish before his surgery, as he felt he wasn't going to make it.
He said there is something of Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Matt Monro included on it.. Can't be a bad thing!
