They certainly did look smart, it was part of the image that was expected in the Rat Pack era.
It was a polished performance from start to finish.

I've just found out that one of my friends has booked to see "The Kings of Swing" at Nidd Hall over Christmas. This is another Warner Hotel.
We need some updates to your list on your website Mark.

I see Mark, you're much too young for a senior moment I suppose!!!
Hope your cruise is going somewhere nice. We could all have joined you!
Thanks for the updates of your shows, unfortunately rather all too far away for us, but next September at the Palladium is already in our diary, just awaiting the date. Possibly we can rally the troops!!:D :D :D
Marian
P.S. Well done on 50 postings.

Sounds good to us, and well done Mark on your 50 postings.
Hope your engagements go well Mark and you found the Chaham venue OK.
We had a job finding this theatre when Al Martino appeared there, and so did his warm-up comic artist who said....If there's a war I'm coming here.
We'll have no trouble finding The Palladium, We'll be there.

We have had the of pleasure of listening to Mark's CD ..."Titled "Where Does The Time Go." our thanks go to Marian for this
This CD contains Twenty One tracks of some of the best standards that have ever been written, all still remaining popular today and every one sung superbly by Mark. We particularly liked "How Do They Keep The Music Playing" "Where Does The Time Go" "The Things We Did Last Summer." Begin The Beguine".
We really enjoyed it.... Great stuff Mark
Will be looking forward to the Palladium Show.

So pleased you liked this CD Lena and Harry. I should perhaps mention that it was issued in 1988 and I came across a copy just by chance.
As Lena and Harry says, there are some lovely old standards on the album, all beautifully sung by Mark.
I loved "How Do You Keep the Music Playing" too, and "The Summer Wind" and "Blue Velvet," "Lullaby in Ragtime" etc. etc.
You should reissue most of these on a new album Mark.

I also loved listening to this cd--lots of great tunes-one of my favourites is Marks version of "What are you doing the rest of yout life"--one of the best versions I have heard.

Although this was issued in 1988, there is such a lot of this American Songbook Type albums that are popular at the moment, and I am sure that this one could be just as popular , if reissued. Well done Mark, on a great album-and thanks to Marian

The Kings of Swing are on page 1 of this thread Mark. Don't think there is a thread of their own, so you are in the right place.
