Keith I'm as bad, many years ago I was going to the shop for myself and some of the staff. One asked for a can of juice and I said what do you want a fan of canta?

Isn't it strange how sometimes things come out all wrong!!!

Karl, the Reverend William Archibald Spooner, an Oxford
history professor, was the king of the tongue-slips in whose
illustrious footsteps you are following, eg:

our queer old dean - our dear old queen

a blushing crow - a crushing blow

no tails - toe nails

you hissed my mystery lecture -
you missed my history lecture

bedding wells - wedding bells

More please.

:)

Yes Robert, the transposition of the first letter
of two words in a sentence creating a humorously
charming new meaning. :)

I went to Sainsbury's, Morrison's & Asda today looking for Alfie Boe & Cliff Richard's new cd's - nobody had them yet but Sainsbury's had Cliff's new concert dvd - however I want it on blu ray.

Asda probably had them but they were just starting to sort the new stock to put out.

hubby and i were extremely fortunate to see Alfie in the Les Mis 25th anniversary londons 02....when he sang Bring Him Home ...you could not hear a pin drop ...beautiful and then he sang with the original John Val Jeans that was a treat to behold...and then we saw the filming of his dvd ...(dont know how we got tickets now!) but he sang Franj Sinatras It Was a Very Good Year with a live orchestra ...beautiful again...if you get a chgnce i highly recemmend him...he has a great sense of humour too ...fabulous singer ...

weve seen cliffe Karl...he had just turned 70 and walked on with a zimmer lol a good sport...he gets a lot of flack but he is a true talented proffesional...i was keen to see Miss You Nights sung live ...i was not dissapointed...amazing and this song is his most requested even though it did not fare well in the charts when first released ...the Albert Hall had reflected lights spinning as he sang it and stars.,.. loved it anbd ws worth the wait in the freezing cold just to see and hear him sing this 8)
