Yes Paddy. The songs were recorded in the 80's, and were produced by Doris' late son Terry Melcher.................there was an interview with Doris on Michael Balls Radio 2 show the week before last :)

I am always out on a Friday night, so my Sky plus will be busy-I just hope there are no clashes--I hate moving everything around.

Thanks for all this information. I just found out about the new album. Not all of the songs were recorded in the 1980s. My Buddy is from 1951 and it's beautiful.

Not a surprise, there is no release date in the US, so I'll be able to buy it in the UK. I'm hoping for #1 on the album chart. She even has a song on the Radio 2 playlist!

I arrive in England on Friday so I'll be able to watch all these programmes if I can stay awake. Hopefully my hotel will get the channels. What time and channel is Michele's programme?

I also just discovered that Doris Day has a website. I think it's dorisday.com and she has a message for her fans (she calls them her friends). Also listen to the interview with the local radio station on her birthday. She seems so surprised that she still has fans all over the world. I also like how she was amazed at all the songs (thousands) she recorded and that she's very certain of the ones she doesn't like!

Hi Paul---Michele will be on "The one show" on Friday 9th September at 7.00 on BBC 1--"The One Show"--not sure if you will see Doris Day--I cannot remember if they were on Satellite.

Do you mean you are arriving this Friday--[2nd] or Friday [9th].

Do you have your itinery for the New Forest yet---some really lovely places in that area.

It has turned colder in the last few days, and I gather that is how it will stay--but hopefully it will remain dry.

A few years ago I saw Doris being inteviewed from the States and she got quite emotional as she still loves her fans.

I heard this interview with Michael Ball Robert, and Doris sounded fantastic and doesn't seem to have changed in any way. A lovely lady whose voice saturated the airwaves in the Forties and Fifties. Many should listen and learn from her talent. :)

Thanks for the link Robert. It was already down on Radio 2's website.

We agree Lena and Harry. She sounds just like many years ago. I like all the stories about her leading men and the early days. She has an excellent memory. She has recorded so many songs; I love the ones from the late 50s and early 60s. I'm thinking only Ella Fitzgerald has recorded more (for female singers, as Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett must be the king).
