I have just read Susan Boyle has a new album out on November 7th, "Someone To Watch Over Me".
Here is a link to one of the tracks on youtube, called "You Have To Be There" performed on America's Got Talent, actually written by Benny and Bjorn from Abba and from a Swedish musical, I believe. A really nice track and she is singing superbly.

I heard the song on AGT. I found it uninteresting. It seemed to have a range of 5 notes. Her voice just doesn't appeal to me.

i will look forward to hearing her sing_"Someone to watch over me"--one of my favoutite songs ever--as long as she includes the verse !!

I do not recall ever hearing the other song before.

I have just gone to the link-I cannot say that I like the song.

Is America's Got Talent on in the UK? No good singers this year. Mostly dance and danger acts.

I agree. I must have the opening verse. It doesn't seem to make sense without it.

Oh Paul-you must have just posted at the same time as me, and I lost my post !!

I was saying that we just recently saw the one in which Jackie Evancho came 2nd---I was very disapponted with the standard of the acts---and very surprised that Jackie came 2nd to someone who I cannot even remember---I think Jackie and the magician should have taken the 2 top spots--any order !

I think it may have been a country singer -- completely forgettable.

I don't think you'll like the season coming up. There's a Frank Sinatra copycat who washes cars for a living; great backstory, but not a great voice. And a little girl from Alaska who shout-sings.

The last series seemed to go on forever---all the audtions, then the live shows-then so many final shows, right down to the last 4--and even the results shows lasting forever-I got so bored with it, I just caught up with the last 3 live shows and results.
