There are so many of these "Best of" cds around--not only Doris , but many other singers---most of them have virtually the same tracks on, just one or 2 different tracks. I know Michele explained why it is neccessary to have these "greatest hits" etc cds---it keeps that singer in the public eye---especially of course, Our Matt.
But I cannot tell you how many cds and Lps I have of Johnny Mathis and Deniece Willams singing "too much , too little ,too late", which must be my least favourite song ever, from him.

I think the record label is cashing in on the success of Doris' previous successful CD release
My Heart ............I did see it on Amazon last week but all the songs sounded familiar

Additional greatest hits releases also provide new products for new fans. The Matt Monro greatest hits have always included some rare tracks.
I don't know how it did in Britain, but Too Much, Too Little, Too Late was a huge hit in the United States. I never cared for it, but recognize that it's a quality record. I recently heard an old interview with him in which he described how he came to work with Deniece Williams. He thought the session went fine, but they never expected such a big hit.
