Just heard "At Last" on Radio 4 - wow, what a wonderful song.
Etta sings a line "my heart is wrapped in clover", and I thought my gosh, what powerful, emotive imagery, it really affected me.
The power of a lyricist and a beautiful song.
Anyone else know this song?

This is probably Etta James most well known song--I have heard it many times, also sung by other singers--it is a really lovely song.

I prefer the Glenn Miller version. I don't like anything by Etta James. Celine Dion did an exact copy which I didn't like either. Beyonce did the best recording of the Etta James arrangement. This has been sung to death on the competition shows so that's maybe why I don't like it.

That is true Paul, I have heard it on X factor, American Idol, etc etc---the one I liked best was by Stacey Solomon, which I managed to download.
