Yes I knew that from what you said before Richard, looks like our site is updated much more frequently than the Dame's! It still looks like it's going to be a good release though and if that is the sleeve it's quite stunning.

Looks like Capitol has now objected to the release of all the previously unreleased tracks and not just the live disc. Fight them, will you?

Yes there are problems still and yes we are still fighting them!
Capitol seem to be bringing up problems that don't really relate to UK recorded material. Problems that for some reason they didn't object to in the 90's when the last set of unreleased Capitol owned recordings (ie anything from late 66 onwards) were issued! It's all a bit silly!
Don't give up hope yet!

What a waste of your time remastering those rare songs Richard. I don't know what plans Capitol & EMI have in store for fans next year when Dame Shirley celebrates 60 years in showbiz.

Dame Shirley deserves better than that, after all her years of entertaining.

The biggest problem now (and with Matt's material) is that her catalogue is now split in half!
EMI UK/Parlophone is still for sale (With the exception of the Beatles catalogue and a few other bits) but Capitol are now owned by Universal.
This means that Shirley Bassey's catalogue is owed by EMI up until mid 1966 and the Capitol/Universal after that.
Likewise Matt's Capitol catalogue (Born free to the second Spanish album) are now split from the rest of his catalogue. Not an ideal situation by any means.
I'm sure these are not the only two artists affected either.

Richard, you are so so lucky to be able to hear the unreleased songs. I'd give anything to have that privilege.

Richard what a bummer and not just with Shirley but I was really looking forward to her release and hearing some unreleased material.

I thought Capitol/Universal would capitalize on Shirley Bassey's successful performance at the Oscars to release the double CD set that Richard remastered. But no, they are not that smart.

Terence there was a 2cd set of Shirley relkeased quite recently that looks good but of course it's not Richard's project.
