Linda Ronstadt

Anybody like her? I like the fact that she recorded a lot of different kinds of music over her career and had several "reinventions". Her country/rock stuff is quite suited to her voice but I'm trying to get into her Great American Songbook recordings with Nelson Riddle and can't make up my mind about them. This may be because I've been listening to Ella Fitzgerald's songbook lately too, and she and Linda have quite different voices. I guess Linda's will grow on me.

Jon prior to my trip I bought some more Linda Ronstadt cd's and my Boston friend burned some for me which I have been listening to since my return. Linda has a great range, some songs I like more than others but she's similar to Dusty in that they both recorded a wide variety of music.

I love Linda's recordings with Nelson Riddle-i think her
voice suits those songs perfectly.
